Journey to Jonstown #82: Marsh Attacks!
Posted by Michael O'Brien on 1st May 2026

Greg Stafford Memorial Award winner David Hall has released an amazing new 130 page RuneQuest sourcebook on the Jonstown Compendium — Marsh Attacks.
David is the leader of the wonderfully creative Reaching Moon Megacorp which, back in the day, published the fanzine Tales of the Reaching Moon, described by RPG historian Shannon Appelcline as "the most important publication for RuneQuest and Glorantha across its more than a decade of existence."*
In recent years, David and the Reaching Moon Megacorp have had a resurgence, releasing best-selling Jonstown Compendium titles including A Rough Guide to Glamor, A Rough Guide to Boldhome, and Life of Moonson, and bringing back after 20 years Home of the Bold, the epic 50 person Gloranthan freeform game.
Later this month, David and the Reaching Moon Megacorp team are doing it again, returning with the 30 player Gloranthan freeform game House of Malan, at Chaosium Con UK.

*Indeed, on the current Chaosium team Rick Meints, MOB, David Scott, and Nick Brooke are all alumni of the Reaching Moon Megacorp — and many RuneQuest and Glorantha writers and artists also got their start creating for Tales of the Reaching Moon. Many of them are still active today, writing for Chaosium or in the Jonstown Compendium.

The Jonstown Compendium is where you can find —and create —self-published material for your roleplaying in Glorantha with content for RuneQuest, along with the QuestWorlds, and 13th Age Glorantha systems.
Remember you like what you see in the Jonstown Compendium, remember to give the creators a star rating or even a review!
