13 tales --> Mostly good to great.

I like the idea of my Call of Cthulhu stories occasionally taking a break from 'All Mythos, All the Time" grind. So I bought this with very high hopes. Based on B-Horror movies, these scenarios are a mixed bag. Some are very clever (looking at you Nazi gremlin), where as others are just OK. (Let's try to survive a zombie apocalypse with the only innovation is that fists and karate kicks are the only thing you're skilled in.). There are some good ideas, useful new spells, and lots of pre-generated characters. Overall, I like it. Not every scenario will fit into your campaign, or fit your tastes, but with a bit of work, you should find something useful for your campaign. If you enjoy running one shot adventures, and are not trying to make these stories 'fit', you will likely find more of the book useful. Warm regards, Rick.
