Chaosium guarantees that all books sold on our web site, except for Boo-Boo Books, are fresh new titles free of printer defects and damage.
BOO-BOO BOOKS: As a result of our sales to the book and game trades, we sometimes get returns of unsold books. We call these “Boo-Boo Books”. Boo-Boo Books will show evidence of shipping and will be shelf-worn but are otherwise complete titles. Boo-Boo Books are sold at a discount under “as-is” terms. You may neither return nor claim a refund for Boo-Boo Books.
RETURN POLICY: Should you purchase a new Chaosium title and find that it contains a printer error or other damage, please contact us immediately, either by phone (734-972-9551) or via email (email@example.com). Sometimes we may ask that you return the damaged book and we will replace it or refund your money (or issue a credit to your credit card). Sometimes we will replace the product and allow you to retain the damaged book, merely asking that you try to find another aspiring gamer who might benefit from the damaged product. In all cases, the decision to ask for the product’s return lies with Chaosium Inc.
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item
Please Note: The US Postal Service has discontinued surface shipments overseas. This change in US Postal Service policy means we can no longer offer slow shipment options via rusty freighter. It also has us updating our overseas shipping options.
Along with our fulfillment warehouse in the USA, we are setting up additional fulfillment warehouses in the UK, Australia, and Canada. While these three new warehouses do not stock our full range of items, they will be stocking all of our new and most popular titles. This should allow for much more reasonable shipping costs to many countries.
Please note that the shipping rates for most items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS & IMPORT FEES: You the customer are responsible for paying all taxes, customs, and import fees levied by your government. Chaosium does not know what these fees may be, nor do we profit from them in any way. The shipping and handling charges for your order do not include fees charged by your government. Check with your local post office, shipping agent, or goverment representative to determine if items you order from the USA will be taxed upon arrival in your country. IF your order only contains BOOKS we will label the customs forms with the description of BOOKS. However, even if ONE item in your order is not a book, we cannot by law describe your order contents solely as BOOKS.
POLICY CHANGES: Chaosium reserves the right to change this warranty policy, and will post any revisions on this web site. Your continued use of this web site will be subject to the then-current warranty policy.
