Cthulhu Adventures

What is a roleplaying game without adventures?

We have some free ones you can download to experience the horror of Cthulhu before you buy it (and we know you will).

Alone Against the Flames - Solo Adventure

Alone Against the Flames Cover

This is a solo adventure for the Call of Cthulhu game. It is a horror story set in the 1920s where you are the main character, and your choices determine the outcome. It is also designed to lead you through the basic rules of the game in a gradual and entertaining fashion. Although most such adventures are played with your friends, this one is just for you.

Before you begin to play, make sure you have a copy of the Call of Cthulhu Seventh Edition Quick-Start Rules, and a blank investigator sheet. You’ll also need a pencil, an eraser, and some roleplaying dice.  You don’t need to read the rules before you start playing. Just settle in a comfortable chair before a roaring fire. Then read on and follow the instructions.

…On second thought, don’t sit too close to the fire.

The Dead Boarder - Extended Demo Scenario

The Dead Boarder Cover

This is an extended version of our popular one-hour demo scenario, designed to introduce new players to the fun of Call of Cthulhu gaming. The scenario’s normal one-hour time limit has been removed and up to six-players can be accommodated to provide everyone with a taster of the game.

Where necessary, specific examples of rules at various points in the story are referenced. In preparing to run this scenario you should be up-to-speed with the Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition rules. Advice on moving the story forward is also provided. The scenario is written to ensure that all players, no matter who is running the game, have a very consistent play experience.

While intended as a convention style taster game, you are free to use the story as a jumping off point for a longer game.

Camp Sunny - Convention Scenario

The Camp Sunny Cover

What could possibly go wrong during a vacation at an off-season summer camp?

The premise of this modern-day scenario is simple: a group of college students choose to take a break at a vacation camp during the off-season. Unfortunately, the owners of the resort are not regular folk.

A four-hour convention scenario fun for a great evening of play.

This requires the Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition rules.
