Chaosium Community Corner Interviews with Bridgett: Jane Routley

Posted by Michael O'Brien on 14th Dec 2025

Our community manager Bridgett Jeffries is interviewing GMs from our Cult of Chaos gamemaster program and creators for our community content programs at DriveThruRPG - the Miskatonic Repository (Call of Cthulhu), Jonstown Compendium (RuneQuest-Glorantha), and Companions of Arthur (Pendragon)!

  • Cult of Chaos members are invited to tell us about themselves, discuss and promote their content, provide insight to running amazing games for the Cult of Chaos at conventions, events, and FLGSs all over the planet!
  • Community content creators are invited to tell us about themselves, discuss and promote their content, and talk about new projects they have in the works or in planning!

The latest interview is with Miskatonic Repository creator Jane Routley. A former Occult librarian who is the winner of prestigious awards for her fantasy fiction, in recent years Jane was encouraged to take up Call of Cthulhu scenario writing and has become an active part of the creator community. She is now even a judge for the Australian Roleplaying Industry Awards!

Jane says, "I had it fixed in my head that because I liked writing characters  and found plotting the hard work in a story, scenario writing wasn’t for me, but now I’ve tried it I love it! ...I love the way the whole scene is so refreshing collegiate.  People are so helpful and enthusiastic. After all we are getting together to make something. RPG’s are a co-operative venture by their very nature."
