Allan Carey is part of our Community Ambassador team. Although Allan is happy to assist creators in all of our community content programs, his particular interest is the Miskatonic Repositoryour platform for independent gaming material for the Call of Cthulhu tabletop roleplaying game.

An award winning artist and propmaker, Allan has also been a passionate RPG gamer for over three decades, playing everything he could get his hands on until Call of Cthulhu stole his heart and sacrificed it to the Great Old Ones.

Born in the UK, Allan is now based in Melbourne Australia where he runs Type40, a creative business specialising in making in-world artefacts from pop culture, including films, TV and comic books. His 'Disk of R'lyeh' won the Australian Roleplaying Industry Award's 2019 prize for Best Artwork, and he created several of the artefacts in the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society's Masks of Nyarlathotep Prop Set, winner of Best RPG Accessory and Product of the Year in the 2019 ENnies.

Allan lives with his wife Nicola, and three cats, Jasper, Poppy and Jake, who dutifully listen to his ramblings while he writes for his Seeds of Terror range on the Miskatonic Repository.
