Chaosium news and events at GenCon 45!
Chaosium is at GenCon 45 in full-force this year at Booth 601. When you are done saving the world for humanity, stop by the booth and say "Hi". The following are the Chaosium-ites and friends hanging-out at the show:
  • CHARLIE KRANK: our president and a long-time resident of Planet Chaos (long, long time).
  • MEGHAN MCLEAN: production dudette, art wrangler, and Boss Squirlin.
  • NICK NACARIO: production dude, art wrangler, Minister of Interns.
  • PEDRO ZIVIANI: Icelander and Chaosium author, notably of Mythic Iceland, one of our most recent releases. Pedro will be talking about his book and doing signings during the show.
  • HEIJA HELGASDOTTIR: a prime motivating force for Pedro (and the one who actually was born in Iceland).
  • MARK MORRISON: Chaosium author of such classics as Terror Australis and Horror on the Orient Express.

EVENTS AT THE SHOW

The following are just a small selection of the hundreds of show events.
  • CTHULHU MASTERS TOURNAMENT: Before the gaze of ancient horror humanity cowers beneath diaphanous veils of sanity, a covering grown old and thin with the passing ages. The time has come for youth to be served and the veils pierced.
  • NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM: It is the year 1800 and the HMS Promise gives chase to a Spanish corvette. As they close on the corvette every man on the crew can already feel the weight of prize money in his pockets.
  • M.U. SKULLS: The M.U. SKULLS are back, and classes are in session. Join the Skulls in some classic Call of Cthulhu mayhem and insanity.
  • YOU TOO CAN CTHULHU: Scads of players will once again rock the Casbah with the gang. While most events are aimed at players new to Call of Cthulhu rumor has it that they have something special cooking as well. You can contact them in advance at their Facebook Page.
  • MYTHIC ICELAND BOOK SIGNING: Thursday 11:00- Noon, Saturday 11:00-Noon at the Chaosium Booth #601 -- Pick up a copy of Mythic Iceland and, while you’re at it, get it signed by the author, Pedro Ziviani. 
  • ELDER PARTY NOMINATING CONVENTION: Thursday 7pm at the Crowne Plaza, Pennsylvania Station B -- Freaks and Mutants! The Elder Party needs YOU! Do you want change in the White House or in the Universe? Fabulous prizes for best nomination speeches.
  • GAME-O-RAMA: All Day during Dealer Room hours! Chaosium Booth #601. Win prizes and partake in general merriment and madness!
