DundraCon 2005 Report

Chaosium survives & thrives at DundraCon 2005.

I have returned safely from DunDraCon 2005 despite drenching rain, swirling tornadoes, and crazy California drivers. It was a great show overall, and I saw lots of friends and gamers from previous events. I offer many thanks to Dennis and Badger, as well as Stephen Martin from Issaries Inc. for their help running the Chaosium booth. Extra special thanks to my boy Spencer, who kept our booth organized by disappearing into the video game room until closing! Next year we may even bring odd smelling frocks for them to wear!

Greg Stafford, founder of Chaosium, came by and chatted for a bit, and I was quite pleased to sit in on one of his insightful seminars. Other highlights included free water, wet armor, Tadashi, smashy bananas, Brian searching for fire, Giant Feet, foaming swords, stuffed Deep Ones, hanging out with Ken and Roderick, $1.00 Colin, mustard splatter, and dramatic posing amid the destruction. Please remember The Necronomicon is not real, though I have no proof.

I had a great time, and my tentacled task-masters are trying to force me to do it again next year, though I may be locked away in my desert stronghold instead. It’s now time to get caught up on shipping orders and taking care of the email box. I look forward to next year. Come by the Chaosium booth next DunDraCon and say “Ia”.
